NDP on saturday was a blast!!!

firstly, it poured in the early afternoon... i was so worried especially after hearing that the rehearsal might cancel if it continues to rain...

prayed non-stop...

the rain finally stopped...

perfect weather! air is chilly and not so humid...

jess and boon were supposed to wear red, me and ben white. i chose a white top when i spotted my precious red scarf... what a weather to finally show off my scarf!!! it is red too!!!

hahahah...

so we met at city hall when i saw ben in red! GASP! he did buy a white top later to change... (if not, i would have kill him... later) we bought sushi, chocolates, sausages (jess repeatedly reminded us, there will be food in the fun pack) =) still...

we walked there slowly, upon the check in station, to our horror! we cant bring in cans!!! boon had 5 cans of drinks! so we took one each and drank, right in front of the police!!! but we had one left, so we decided to sneak it in... boon was holding on to it and last minute, he decided to tell the police that he had a can drink ( i would too if i were him, i dont want to be declared as a terrorist!) but the police was like, 'just go' at that point of time... we felt so silly... for actually taking that sign board as a threat!! sigh...

i got a purple bag, jess red, boon and ben, blue... we had beautiful seats, not too high, not too low...

once we sat our butts down... me and jess practically ripped open our bags and started digging through... we squeaked at everything we saw... =) esp the coupons! we also fixed our fans and lights excitedly... next to me, this ass (ben) was calmly reading the NDP book!!! what the hell! dont mind him... we (being me and jess) were awfully excited...

we chanced upon the body stickers... nah, actually ben saw the little girl in front of us getting hers done, he wanted too (that was when he finally took a look at what's inside the bag!) we started putting our stickers (i got one on my face! for the fun of it... one on my right arm, one on the left side of my neck...imagine love bite) =) and i kept urging jess to put one on her face too... i tempted her in the end... =) hahaha, we all had stickers on our face!!! so cool!

i think i took more than an hour to settle down, fixing up all the lights and stuff... eating all the junkies... =)

anyway, I LOVE THE SHOW!!! gosh... i mean, no one gushes about how good the NDP Parade is... usually... but i thought it was perfect, THE BEST! oh my goodness... the air display... the aparche (scream), the navy display... oh dear... i should stop ranting...
however, it was definitely a long time since i last sang my National Anthem... abit off tune, oppps... but i definitely felt that, this is my home and where i will build my dreams... =)

a typical monday-
rise and shine at 430am
morning jog
reach home before 7am
breakfast, bathe, laze ard, dress up
leave house at 8am
reach office by 830am
start work
lunch in
end work
meet friends/kor for dinner
home by 10pm latest
bathe, read my storybook
sleep at 11pm.

that routine is almost the same for everyday! sigh... this morning, i sat in my balcony to watch sunrise as i eat my cereals... i noticed that some condos are not facing east/west directions... it reminded me of the several occasions when the real estate agents would say, good buy cos no morning sun or evening sun. sigh, i feel such a loss for these people... i love the sun (especially it has been really cold these few days) it is such a joy to watch sun rise or sun set... i remembered when i was young, REALLY REALLY young, when we still have daily dinners at 5ish to 6ish, we would be dining when the sun is setting... the room is lit in orange light... soft and warm... cozy and lovely...
just then, i realised that, i no longer have the luxury to sit at my balcony till the sun is hot to read my newspaper, neither will i have the luxury to eat my dinner while the sun is setting. i wont have that luxury till maybe 40 years later? i dont know... maybe even then, when i finally do have, things may not be the same... small balcony? different company? for sure, my parents wont be around for dinner 40 years later (of course, i pray really hard they do) my brother? the table and chairs?
life is changing... and i hate the change... maybe because the change is so obvious, especially now... i dont know...
the weather is horribly different now... this time of the year, it was always hot and hot and hot... look, it has been raining ever since dont know when. i curl up to sleep every night! it used to turn cooler right after mooncake festival (according to papa, it is more apparent when he was in shanghai and hk)...
sigh...
i am playing my part in fight against global warming... the first and foremost, i dont use aircon and no intention of ever installing aircon. i stop using plastic bags... oh oh, went shopping at ck tangs and taka last night and the ladies at the counter was so shocked when i took out my own bags to use... we no longer shop without our recycle bags at NTUC... hmmmmmm... we split our rubbish into recycle-able or non-recycle-able...
hopefully, the weather will be back to normal in a few years time... (i have a feeling, it wont)

you know, there are some perks here and there when you join some companies right...
mine not much perks though...
but but, days ago, i saw

not a big deal but definitely save you a couple of bucks since it is a public holiday...
so i ballot for it...

psssst... much to my boss's distaste, i have been using all KPMG's stationery... hahahhaha, kor 'steal' them for me... cant help it, they didnt provide me with nice stationery and since KPMG has them all... =) heehee...

i am sitting at my desk, eating quietly, multi-tasking quietly...
gone were the noises and stress
...
i prefer to lunch in alone
it is the time i use to surf internet, update my personal stuff, make some call to mummy, gosh i miss her, read my storybooks and national geographic...
time spent not rushing from deadline to deadline...

time zipped pass quietly too...
before i knew it, my week is up...
i am having a girls' night on thursday! how very cool! i will be buying a crimson red top and a pair of white shorts for this saturday NDP preview... =) so cool, got to watch it for the first time in my life! the week during national day, i will be looking forward to night safari trip with my pals! =)

raffi goes to work with me... he sits on my desk and watches me work... i leave him to guard my desk at night but since i cant bear being apart from him for more than 12 hours, i bring him home on friday evenings... i love to cuddle him up the paris hilton way too! =)
i am looking into adopting a monkey next... he shall be mon.

i cut my hair, though many would disagree... it IS shorter by a lot... -_-' i shall grow it back and perm it again...
one more nutty thing to say... i officially signed up for marathon... -gulp- my training better start NOW...!

i am to cut my hair, an advice from my dear doctor. sigh, now, NOW, i need to find a hairdresser. shall upload some photos then.
i know that the past few MONTHS have been a bit unpleasant for me... i had the stress on me and i almost lost my battle against it.
well, at least it is over, for the time being...
